Coverack 4-day Watercolour Course - £115
The
Location:
Coverack
is situated on the South West coast of Cornwall on the Lizard Peninsula.
It is a small traditional fishing village and is a spectacular spot attracting
many visitors. The quaint harbour, beautiful beach and coastline are excellent
for inspiring artists. The village boasts several eating houses ranging
from small cafes to the village pub and a restaurant at the village hotel.
There are three shops, an art gallery and a church.
About
the course:
The
course is to be taken by artist Sue Lewington and will be using watercolour.
Sue runs a gallery and has published a series of pen and watercolour sketchbooks
about the Scilly islands and various places in Cornwall. These include
St Ives, Falmouth, Fowey, and the gardens of Heligan and Eden.
Included in the package:
Course fees cover all tutoring, unlimited use of the studio and facilities,
and a bottomless tea and coffee pot. The maximum class size will be 12
people.
Itinerary:
Thurs :
Arrive mid afternoon. 8pm Meet in the studio for a welcome and introductions
to the tutor and fellow course members. Discuss the plan for the next
few days. This is also a chance for Sue to look at one or two examples
of individual work and talk with each course member to discover his or
her objectives during the course.
Fri : 9.30am meet in the studio for the start of the day. Stop
for a lunch break at 12-1.30pm. The day finishes around 4.30pm.
Sat : 9.30am meet in the studio. Lunch break between 12-1.20pm.
Finishing around 4.30pm.
Sun : 9.30 start in the studio. Lunch break between 12-1.30pm.
Finish around 3.30pm. Wind down session with refreshments, chance to view
each others work.
Accommodation is not included in our package due to the varying needs of individuals. We are happy to book accommodation on your behalf from the wide range of guest houses, B&Bs, cottages and the hotel in Coverack Village.
Depending on where you stay, evening meals may or may not be included. There is a choice of four eating houses in the village itself, and for a further variety the nearby villages, only a mile or two away have more on offer. These will also be available at lunchtime.
