The Regatta was held on 10th August on a pleasant afternoon with races for swimmers and for boats. In the photograph

damp beginning to the day blossomed into a fine, warm afternoon for the Fete on the Battery. Adults and children tried to beat the odds on the traditional games such as splat the rat, golf balls into a tyre, hoopla, bowling, and the stocks. A gentle musical accompaniment was provided by the Cober Valley Accordian Band. |
