The 96 swimmers were led as usual by Carol Lawrence and David Philpott. The tide was out, and there was an East wind, adding an extra chill to a cool experience. There was over £1,300 in the collecting buckets on Christmas Day. The final total raised for charity should be much more, when all of the sponsorship money is collected.

Defending Coverack

Villagers have won a small victory in their fight to defend Coverack from the sea.

In the most recent version of Cornwall Council's "Shoreline Management Plan"
continuing to repair the sea wall, (which supports the road through the village) is now included as an option after the year 2025.
