Coverack is well represented when it comes to art. A number of professional artists live and work here or nearby, and the village also boasts a thriving art club. We have an art gallery in the centre of the village.
The Coverack Art Club
The Coverack Art Club was founded in 1972 and at present has 60 members so we have a few vacancies.
Annual membership is £25 - membership enquiries should be addressed to:
Barbara Dring, Silverdale, Sanctuary Lane, Helston TR13 8UG
You can telephone Dee May, our chairman, on 01326 572119
We are a relaxed and friendly group who meet on Mondays throughout the year from 10.30 - 4pm. From October to May we meet in the Lambeage Hall, and from June to September outside at various locations on the Lizard Peninsula. We have tuition and demonstrations from local professional artists at many of our meetings, or we explore a DVD, or follow up a tuition session with a workshop. We are holding an exhibition this year in May, and members have work on show throughout the year in many of the galleries on the Lizard Peninsula.
