Coverack Space 2000
This fundraising project was set up,in 1999, to support the creation of additonal space in our existing village primary school. As a result of its success the school now has a brand new upstairs classroom and a spacious area downstairs for assemblies, PE etc. This same area is also available for community use out of school hours.
Community facilities are already in place as below:
French classes (different abilities)
Computer courses (different levels)
Keep Fit classes
Yoga
Various craft classes
A community refence library
Local displays (archaeology, natural history,
tourism etc)
A local website
An Online Centre open 3 times per week.
We have just taken on a new project development officer. She will be working to consolidate and expand our activities which have been built upon by our previous worker over the past two years. Particular emphasis will be on our development to become self-sustaining.
