Signs of Spring

A group of twenty three enthusiasts, led by Martin Rule, found evidence of the coming season,
despite some very cold weather, with frequent frosts at night.

Hazel
The hazel flowers early, when few insects are about.
It has to rely on wind to blow pollen
from the male flowers to the female flowers.
