Leaving party for Reverend Louise Courtney 21st August

The Church Hall at St Peters was crowded for the farewell party for Louise. Fortunately it was a lovely sunny day and well-wishers were able to enjoy their refreshments outside, after the presentation. Louise has now moved to a parish of her own, near Fowey.

The Reverend Mike Archer has taken over some of Tim's duties at St Keverne in the "interregnum".

Members of the congregation and friends met in the Parish Hall St Keverne to wish Tim and his family well for the future. Tim now moves to Madron where he will look after Madron, Gulval and Heamoor Churches. He was installed as "Priest -in-charge" on 7th November.

Putting up the tree

Work on the Coverack Christmas lights is progressing well, and the tree was installed on 3rd December, ready for the "Coverack Christmas Tree" event on 10th December.

Pictured on the left, Clive Richards is driving the tractor with Brian Nicholls, sitting in the bucket, making some adjustments to the tree.

Other News in brief

The steps by the Bay Hotel entrance, leading down to the beach, have been repaired.

We had a surprise snowfall on Friday 25th November. Many villagers who had travelled to work, or for shopping trips, spent several hours trying to get home through very difficult conditions.
