Easter
Monday saw Coverack’s second ever Easter Fun Run. The weather was
kind and there was a good turn out for both the 1 mile and the 4 mile
routes. Coverack Space 2000, a community group that runs events and activities
in the village, organised the event. |
![]() Striding away Many youngsters took up the challenge and a special mention needs to go to Reggie Langton, at the age of 7, who finished in the top 10 of the 4 mile route. This was an incredible achievement for someone so young. All those who ran did a fantastic job as this is a difficult route and their fundraising has been really appreciated. Running a mile is a big challenge in itself and almost 30 took part in the one mile route. All the children did a fantastic job running the mile route –we really appreciate those supportive parents who ran with them!
We
have planned the routes so that both start from Coverack School and
finish St Peter’s Hall. As the finish line for both events is
in the village it meant that many supporters could come and watch and
encourage and then enjoy the refreshments served in the hall. | |||||

The plan does not expect to maintain the sea defences of Coverack past the year 2025. Councillor Frisken gave information to the Parish Council on Thursday 1st April, and a number of concerned Coverack residents also attended.
