A wet, cold month, with only nine completely dry days, and a rainfall of 125mm.


On average November is the wettest month and September is the driest.

October 2008 has been unusually cold, with the first October frost recorded since 2001, on 29th.

The weather records are not complete, due to holidays taken by the recorder.

Work is now well under way on improvements to St Peter's Church.
A vestry, cloakroom and small kitchen facility is being added on the North side. The church, originally finished in brick, and later rendered, is now being painted white. The small bell tower, pictured in the old photograph to the right, is to be reinstated.
