Coverack Christmas Swim

On Tuesday 25th December there was a large gathering around the village harbour for the annual swim, in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Over 80 people braved the sea and went in many of whom were dressed up. The tide was against them this year, as it was a really low tide. Those who took part had to walk over rocks and seaweed to reach the water.

An amazing £1000 was raised in sponsorship, so well done to all those who took part and raised this fantastic amount for such a worthwhile cause. Next year is the village's 40th Anniversary so we are hoping for record numbers and wacky fancy dress!!
