Congratulations to Sarah and Angela for completing the London Marathon on 17th April 2005. Although the effort on the day itself is enormous it is small compared with the huge amount of training necessary beforehand. We have admired their dedication as we have seen them running through Coverack, preparing for the great day. Angie and Sarah would like to thank everyone for their support and sponsorship. They hope to raise over £3,000 for the British Heart Foundation. They report: "Family and friends came with us, David in charge of a large Cornish flag which greeted us at various points around the course, with mad supporters jumping up and down as if we were the only runners taking part. What a team, Hugh, Steph, Kieran, David, Beth, Tim, Rod, Val, Eseld, Kenwyn, Juliet, Tristan, Tamsin, Rob and Di, and last but not least, Betty, the Mullion School Bear." Angie described the experience as, "Absolutely brilliant!" Perhaps the efforts of Angie and Sarah will inspire others from Coverack to stretch their own boundaries in the future. |
