Built in 2006, in Japan this 289 metre LNG carrier is intended to carry Liquid Natural Gas from Norway to the USA and Spain.

Grand Anemi off Chynhalls Point on 4th January
This 245 metre bulk carrier, registered in Malta was built in 1988.


The Sanko Venture, a 228 metre crude oil tanker, was anchored off Coverack Bay 5 days before Christmas, but moved round to the west coast of the Lizard on Boxing Day. It is probable she was seeking shelter from the strong East wind and rough sea, but she returned to Coverack on 6th January.

The Maersk Producer, another crude oil tanker anchored off Coverack on 6th January, having just sailed down from the Tranmere oil terminal in the Mersey, near Liverpool. She is 245 metres long and is owned by the Danish shipping group A.P.Moller-Maersk.
