May 2008
 
Tuesday 27th at 2pm Coverack Beach Clean & Scavenger Hunt. Meet at *CIP
  This is a community beach clean. The Wild life Trust will provide gloves, grabbers, and bin bags. The aim is to remove items such as wire plastic metal and any rubbish from the beach to make it safe for wildlife and all beach users. Extra muscle power is very useful! The more people who come to help the more of the beach we can clean! There will be a Scavenger Hunt for any children after the Beach Clean.
Saturday 31st May at 6am Dawn Chorus - Guided Walk. Meet at the Charity Car Park, North Corner
  Martin Rule is a local Wildlife and Bird expert. He will lead this walk, helping everyone to identify the birds we hear on our way towards Lowlands.
The Wave Café will be open from 8 am so that everyone can refuel with breakfast and drinks.
June 2008
 
Saturday 14th June10am Plant Life - Guided Walk. Meet at the Charity Car Park, North Corner
  Gillian Ashworth is a local plant enthusiast and will help us to identify the plant life found on our walk towards Lowlands.
Saturday 28th June 9pm
Night Jars at Dusk - Guided Walk. Meet at *CIP
  Martin Rule is a local Wildlife and Bird expert. He will guide us along the Polcoverack Lane Footpath helping us to identify what we hear. We hope to hear Night Jars and Tawny Owls as well as other wildlife. Bring a torch and wear non-rustling clothing.
July 2008
 
Saturday 12th July 2pm Archaeology Guided Walk to Lowlands. Meet at the Charity Car Park

Charlie Johns is a local Archaeological expert and will lead a guided walk and talk to Lowlands pointing out the interesting archaeological features along the way.
Thursday 31st July 10am-4pm
Children’s Theatre Workshop & Production at the Lambeage Hall
   The Children’s Theatre Group “Cajadhu” will be working with children over the two days in the Lambeage Hall and on The Battery. All school age children are welcome to attend. There will be an open air performance on the Friday at 3pm - everyone is welcome to watch this performance.

Tide Fight on Coverack Beach

  Come and build a structure out of findings on Coverack Beach and win a prize for the last one left standing when the tide comes in! Beach shoes are advisable.
Tuesday 12th Aug 2pm-4pm Children’s Craft Workshop at St.Peter’s Hall
  Children’s Craft afternoon led by Caroline Beadle, a qualified primary school teacher. Children will be able to make and take home a number of craft objects made using a range of techniques.
Suitable for all school age children, and younger children if accompanied by a supportive adult.
Thursday 14th Aug 9:30am Wildlife Ramble towards Blackhead Meet at Dolar point
  Martin Rule is a local Wildlife expert, he will lead this walk which will be suitable for all age groups and will help identify wildlife along the way including birds, butterflies and anything else we see!
Tuesday 19th Aug 2pm Rock Pool Safari
  Come and explore the world of rock pools on Coverack Beach led by enthusiast Peter Wood. You will be encouraged to find and identify what hides in and around the rock pools. Please wear appropriate footwear for scrambling over rocks. Bring your own nets and buckets.
Thursday 21st 1:30- 3:30pm
Sand Castle and Sculpture Competition
  Come along and join the fun on Coverack beach! Make your sandcastle or sculpture and see if you can win a prize. Judging at 3:30pm.
Thursday 28th Aug 10:30am Pond Dipping &Mini Beast Safari Meet at *CIP
  Alison Forward from the Wildlife trust will lead us on an exciting discovery to find out what mini beasts we can find in the habitats of woodland, grassland and pond. Activities will include tree shaking and pond dipping and identification of the mini beasts. This event is only possible due to the kind permission of Ben & Georgia Roskilly. Please note this is not a public right of way and access has been granted for this event only.
