COVERACK WAVES SQUARE DANCE CLUB

We were very happy to be back in our home at St. Peter's Church Hall Coverack for our Christmas Square Dance. The new floor is a pleasure to dance on, and the facilities very good indeed. Those who were in the hall for the first time since the refurbishments were very impressed. We had been boarded out to St. Mary's in Helston, which was absolutely fine, but just not "home". Although we are a very small club, we were honoured to have a visit from the BAASDC President John Webb himself a couple of months back, and he has recommended our club to anyone visiting Cornwall, advising them, via the Square Dance Magazine, to "spend a weekend and enjoy the beautiful scenery whilst you are here". We also had a visiting caller that time, Arthur Oke from North Cornwall, who gave us a varied and interesting evening of fun dancing.

We normally dance to recorded callers, with a huge variety of music and levels. Anyone is welcome, although a smattering of experience would be helpful, but come in and see what we do, there is another local club which can accommodate absolute beginners if you like what you see and hear! Call Sheena on 281041 for more information, and dates. We generally dance on a Saturday evening, but not every week.
